Myofascial Mobilizations for Endangerment Zones
Lu Muller-Kaul, LMT
Lu was our presenter at the July meeting – Myofascial Mobilizations. Twelve attended and had a good time learning from Lu. Come this month and check it out.
This course will cover the most effective myofascial mobilization techniques for tricky areas around the throat, axilla, front of the lumbar spine, inguinal triangle, and back of the knee. Students will learn to use effective communication with the client for best results while applying safe techniques. Careful, slow myofascial work can help relieve nerve impingement, limited range of motion, and of course pain.
This is a hands-on class! Students will need to bring:
- one sheet (if ok sharing)
- face cradle cover
- two pillows
- We’ll use the school’s tables (Thank you to Florida School of Massage!)
Wear comfortable clothes, ideally a bra/swimsuit top the women can be seen in and stretchy pants/shorts.

Draft minutes from the July meeting: 2018-July 11-SVC FSMTA Minutes-draft
Laura, our Chapter President, brought back lots of product and little tools from the convention. They are being offered for a donation price to raise some funds for our chapter. Did you know that low membership means low funds for the chapter? We’d like to have enough to pay our presenters who provide CEs for you.
There’s a special discount for early registration for the 2019 Convention – the 50th! It’s $219 if you register and pay before August 31, 2018. Full price is $395. The website isn’t working (8/5/18) and the office is moving. So your guess as to how to register is as good as mine.
